DERWENT VIEW GLAMPING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
DERWENT VIEW has 7 Glamping pods, which sleep from 2 adults to a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children, we do not take group bookings (more than 2 pods) If you book separate but knowingly know each other your booking will be cancelled with no refunds being given.Only the names and number of people booked at time of booking are permitted, Day guests may be allowed at managers discretion, under no circumstances must visitors arrive without management being inform beforehand. they must park cars at pow hill country park and there will be a charge of £5, and will have to leave by 6pm.
POD - Please read the "pod rules" sign in the pod on arrival
HOT TUBS - There is a safety sign beside the hot tubs please make sure you familiarise yourself with it. Only guests booked into the hot tub pods are permitted to use the hot tubs, if any other guests are wanting to use them, there will be a £10 per person charge.
ARRIVALS - 2pm - 6pm please inform us if you are going to be any later than 6pm.
DEPARTURES - 10.30am prompt on final day of booking
BOOKINGS - Must be paid in full at time of booking, No under 21's will be allowed unless agreed by owners. no Hen and stag parties, or single sex parties ( please phone site if you wish to discuss a booking for any of these) There must be no more than 2 pods booked to any one booking, We will notice if you do more, and your booking will be cancelled with no refunds being given.
PETS - We have one pod which we allow dogs, it can be 1 medium dog or 2 small ones, but must be well behaved, kept on lead at all times, and not left alone in the pods. acceptable breeds only, (please phone site it you not sure) they must have there own beds, and under no circumstances allowed on the seating
please check tariff for dogs on the booking form. You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog. if the pod is not left as you find it you will be charged for cleaning, this includes excessive dog hair.
CANCELLATIONS - if booking is less than 28 days no refunds will be issued, we may be able to offer you an alternative date, but this is at the owners discretion, strictly no refunds will be given if guests decides to leave early for any reason, this also applies to weather conditions, unfortunately we have no control over the weather therefore if you decide to cancel your booking, then this will be your choice. please take out holiday insurance to cover unforeseeable events. if more than 28 days a refund of 50% of the total cost will be refunded.
CASH DEPOSITS - Derwent View Glamping take a £50 deposit and charges will be occurred if site or glamping pod is left in an unsatisfactory condition, this includes, any breakages, and misuse of any items belonging to Derwent View, this also includes any stains,or spillages to seating or bedding which results in the seating having to be removed and laundard, (in this case £50 will not be refunded) .We do expect the pod and shower block to be left in the condition you find it, Any items left behind will be kept for 2 weeks, then disposed off.
No inside items in the pods must be taken outside.
Shower block and Glamping pod must be left as you find it.
FIRE PITS AND PIZZA OVEN - We offer use of our fire pits at a small hire charge, all fire wood must be purchased via site, under no circumstances, must any fire wood be brought onto the site, it is forbidden to cut down any branches or put any debris onto the fire pit. Derwent View Glamping are not liable for any misuse of the fire pits, fire pits must be extinguished by 10.30pm. please use our fire pits safely. Wood for pizza oven also only available from site. Please return fire pits, emptied and cleaned ready for the next person. Pizza oven must be left how you find it.
SPEED - Please keep your speed to a maximum of 5mph whilst on site, as we have children and ducks wandering around.
No branded or transit vans allowed onsite
PARKING - We have one space for each pod, any extra cars must park down at Pow hill country park and walk up, unless prior consent.
NOISE - We are a low noise policy site, all noise must be kept to a minimum, please have consideration for other guests, especially after 10.30pm. Music must be at a reasonable volume, at all times and turned off by 10.00pm, Our site is a family site so please ensure your behavior is appropriate and is not noisy, offensive or likely to cause any harm or upset to other guests, staff or property on the site. If we feel your behavior is illegal, offensive, disruptive or inappropriate we will ask you to leave the site. In these circumstances no refund will be given.
SMOKING - Smoking is prohibited in any of glamping pod, decking, shower block, lounge area, designated areas will be pointed out when booking in. All cigarette butts must be put in provided ashtrays, and not thrown around site!
RUBBISH - All rubbish, must be put in the bins provided.
SHOWER BLOCK - We take a lot of pride in our shower block, we ask that guests respect this, and clean up after themselves. all children must be with an adult while using the shower block.
SAFETY - We want everyone to stay safe while here at Derwent View, therefore please be aware, where your children are at all times, no climbing on stones walls and adhere to all signs around the site. we do not allow ball games of any sort in the pod area, please ask staff if you would like advice on where you can play.
The Owners of the site are no way responsible for any accidents, loss or damage to guests personal property.
The Owners reserve the right to ask guests to leave with immediate effect if not abiding by the site rules
Guests with disabilities are welcome at all our site. If you or someone in your party has special needs tell us about this before you make a booking so we can try to ensure the accommodation is suitable for you. If you don’t tell us we can’t be responsible if the accommodation is not suitable. If you do have special requirements please let us know. We will try to accommodate these but can’t guarantee this.
Very occasionally, in exceptional circumstances, we may have to cancel your booking. If we do so we will tell you as soon as possible and you can choose either to have a full refund, or accept any alternative arrangements offered to you, or book another holiday with us. If we have to cancel because of circumstances beyond our control (e.g. fire, theft or flood) we will pay a full refund. If we cancel we will have no further liability to you for this.
